Another question: do you have the sidebar open, and if so is it open to the
bookmark tab? Does hiding the sidebar (F9, or use the View menu) change
anything?
Do you have the bookmarks item in the personal toolbar? If so does hiding
the personal toolbar help any? (View | Toolbars, deselect the Personal
Toolbar.)
