FWIW, I've been getting the exact same thing for the past few days
on my box running RedHat 7.1. 

I found these:

$ locate libstdc++-libc6       
/usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2
/usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3
/usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.2-2.a.3

and tried linking to them to no avail. And just when the dailys
are getting a purty new face too. :'-(
