The exact same thing happened to me, I have not been able to get Netscape
6.01 to work, but I have had success getting netscape 6 to work. What I did
was to delete the .netscape directory in your home directory, then reinstall
netscape, also try deleting the .mozilla directory, youll lose your settings
but it did work for me. When you delete them, reinstall netscape, deleting
the old version when the installer asks you do.
It may work after that. 6.00 works, 6.01 does not seem to.
