My apologies. When I attempted this again, after closing and reopening my
browser, I similarly got no effect and this error message in the JavaScript
Console:
The link to file:///D:/HTMLdocs/Test.html was blocked by the security
manager.
Remote content may not link to local content.
Changing back to an http call, even one running on the same machine such as
http://localhost/whatever ..., cures the problem. It also goes away if
you're currently viewing a local page via the "file://" protocol. I haven't,
in my brief look at your problem with this, had a way to get around the
limitations the scripting approach has presented. Again, good luck.
