Hi, I've got an idea that I wanted to run by the newsgroups before
filing a bug for.

The autocomplete in netscape 4.x used to fill in the area beyond what
you were typing, and if you just pressed enter, the autocompleted text
would be accepted as if you had typed it.

Now this doesn't happen. You have to press tab or the up and down
arrows first to select an autocompleted line, and I agree that this is a
good ui decision. Despite this, I find myself thinking that the old
NS4.x implementation would have been just fine 99% of the time because
I'm usually typing in somewhere I've been before. So I end up just
pressing tab once and pressing enter.

Now, what's really weird is that I keep on getting a reflex to hit the
space bar to accept autocompleted entries. This is how it works in
microsoft word. Since URL's don't contain spaces (am I wrong?), would
it be cool to have the spacebar act as selecting the first autocomplete
entry and going there?
Thanks,
Ben
