I have tried the mozilla download applet under MacOS 9, Windows 98, and Red
Hat Linux 7.2. I have found no rhyme or reason to the existance or
nonexistance of the pause button. At first I thought that it only was
implemented on one platform. Nope. Then it occured to me that it might
only apply to large files. Well, I just downloaded a more recent version
of the linux kernel, and there was no pause button. Why is this?

Oh, and why doesn't the splash screen show up, even with the '-splash'
switch, under linux? Just out of curiousity.

Sorry to bug y'all, but I'm a long way from any programming ability myself.
I admire your efforts, and I certainly don't mean to demean them in any
way. I just don't have any other resource for support. Please accept my
apologies.
