Mozilla0.9.4 is a step behind NS6.2.Why would it do what it did to you is beyond my comprehension.You mentioned Inbox,but what about Inbox.msf.Delete every .msf file which you can find,and it will be rebuilt.Those files are responsible for disappearing mail.Try Mozilla0.9.6,it has worked for me quite well.
