as non trivial as it is, a workaround should have been used for 0.9.8, this bug has been hindering some performance testing and analysis. Anyways, Brendan has posted a patch, now hopefully pavlov will do us a favor and start doing something with it. I would love to help, but I currently don't have a build system set up. Will get that done as soon as I have linux set up.
