I heard that Toyota is the benchmark of the industry. What would you
expect??

I think Volvo is not alone. I know one Audi A6's engine turned itself
off due to computer chip problem. It happened the first month my friend
bought it, and she bought it brand new. 

But, you buy Euorpean because it's a status symbol, right? ;-)
