The author of the FAQ confirmed that it was NOT a joke. Here's his 
quote, "It's not a joke. That bit is deadly serious." But then, you 
would have known that if you had bothered to read the whole thread

I'm not sure what "WFM" means. Maybe a spell checker would have helped

If I had the required skills and time, I would gladly implement it. 
Unfortunately, my skills are in other areas.

Who are you refering to as "ignorants who don't care"? The people who 
have posted asking about a spell checker obviously do care or they would 
not have wasted their time posting.

I regret to inform you that I do not wish to give you the oppertunity to 
subscibe me to spam lists. As newsgroups are a discussion forum, I do 
not feel it is neccessary to include a return email address. I will 
check for responses here, and others may benefit if the discussion is 
kept in the newsgroup.
