I'm using Mozilla 1.0 for news (among other things). I can try to send news articles to this ng; no problem.
I was able to send news articles to my old ISP's news server; no problem. When I try to send news articles to my new ISP's news server, I get an error message saying that my IP address isn't authorized to do so. I can read the articles without difficulty, though. When I try Microsoft Outlook Express (bleh) with what appear to be equivalent settings with my new ISP's news server, it works fine for both reading and posting articles. My settings (on both news readers) are: e-mail address: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Server name: news.east.cox.net Port: 119 Use SSL: No What else can I look for to solve this issue? I'm getting paranoid enough to worry that my ISP is checking to see if the originating software is Outlook Express and rejecting anything that isn't! Bruce
