Hi all, I've followed the thread (and bugs) regarding mail notification
in the Windows system tray some time now and as a Windows user i was
happy with the procedures that were in place.

I've now moved over to Linux and i'd like to write an applet for GNOME
which checks Moz Mail. Problem: I can't find where Mozilla identifies
that there are new messages.

In the first instance, Mozilla will do the pickup of new mail from my
mail server (sitting in a free Pager window) and the applet will simply
read a mozilla configuration file (but which one??), and display a small
'Email' icon to identify that there is new mail.

So, if anybody could point me in the right direction I would really
appreciate it.

Regards, Nick
