Transfering setting/preference/mail from old netscape and older build of moz

Hi all,
There should really be a doc somewhere explaing how to transfer mail and 
settings from 4.X netscape and older builds of moz.
I had to mess around to figure it out.

And to transfer all my mail from netscape mail is a big kludge...
