Analizing the server logs I found Netscape 5 many times. I asked
myself where it comes form, since version 5 has never been released,
as far as I know.
But today I find the answer: Mozilla is referred as Netscape 5.
Why?
I think it would be more correct to call it "Mozilla 0.8".
Now is:
NAVIGATOR APPNAME: Netscape
VERSION: 5.0 (Windows; en-US)
USER AGENT : Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; 0.8)
Gecko/20010215
My proposal:
NAVIGATOR APPNAME: Mozilla
VERSION: 0.8 (Windows; en-US)
