I agree. current perf is acceptable and the risk would be too high.
We do need to finish up and land the folder outliner branch. (varga and
hwaara have done all the work so far, and I appreciate it.)
But it's not going to happen for 0.9.1
there's a tracking bug to remove all the multiple column trees and
replace them with outliners.

addressbook, history, subscribe, etc will all need to be converted.
