Hi Gerv, I just wanted to chime in and say that bugweek was fantastic for me. The developers (and especially you) were busting their buts giving feedback and immediate support to newbie contributors, and it really helped.
On the flip side, now that bug week is over, it seems pretty hard for me to make any progress on the bugs I wanted to fix. My first checkin (the border for quicksearch in mailnews) doesn't even show up unless you turn off XML caching, and I think Hyatt's too busy to get back to me on that for a while (it's bug 107571). I also got stuck on a mailnews bug I wanted to fix, and I havn't got much feedback on that either. (To be fair to developers, I'm refraining from directly emailing them and I'm just using bugzilla channels instead. I know my bugs are all pretty minor.) Anyway, I think more bugweeks would be great, but I think they could be shorter--more like weekends, or possibly thursday through sunday nights. Cheers!
