Obviously the people reading this here are not the people who wrote that code so we don't know the answer off the top of our heads. We could dig it up, I suppose, but we're all too lazy to do the leg work for someone too lazy to do it himself. Look for the profile manager code in the tree (lxr.mozilla.org is your friend). Do a "blame" and see who knows about that file. Mail them. Or better, since they're probably busy fixing their own bugs, read the code and find out what it does. -Dan Veditz
