I just started using mozilla 1.4 for the sole purpose of the popup blocker and after one day I see absolutely no difference from when I was using IE without any blockers.
You have to activate the popup blocker. Please read the faq.
Also, why build a product that screws up passwords for important sites users use. I have to type in my Yahoo! mail user name and password about 3 times for it to work.

At least you gave Mozilla a shot. I just hope that you will read its documentation.
