Hi, I'm connecting to iPlanet Directory Server 5.1 with Client side authentication (I'm using SunOne SDK 5.08). I have run into two problems: 1. I tried using certmap.conf to configure the client certificate, and then realized that even when the certmap.conf file is empty, I still manage to connect to the Directory server using client side authentication. How is it that the server did not check the certmap.conf file? 2. I have created an extended operation plug-in, which I installed on the Directory server. When I checked the value of SLAPI_CONN_AUTHMETHOD, it shows SLAPD_AUTH_SIMPLE and not SLAPD_AUTH_SSL, even though I'm making a client side authentication. Why? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
