"thoroughly tested" ??? By Who ???!!!
By us he means !!!
But every few years he puts out another Beta OS and then comes out with a new Beta OS before he finishes Plugging the Holes and Bugs in the old one !!!!
But he's running scared now because People are sick of it and not Upgrading like they have before and are looking at other OS Platforms.
Could this be why MS has extended Support for Win98 after they said they would not !!!???
People are not buying XP except with a new Computer and some of those are removing XP and installing Win98SE instead !!!
People are sitting back waiting for them to fix XP, which will be the best Home or Office OS's MS has produced so far as soon as it leaves the Beta Stage in a year or so.
In the meantime, other OS's are looking better and better as more programs are made available for those platforms.
Stability is a Factor MS will have to deal with weather Bill likes it or not this time around because Linux and other OS's now has more Software and Games that will run on it.
Before people wanted the most popular an OS that had the most Programs to run on that would allow them to not only work but play as well.
MS was the most popular OS that most Software Manufactures were making Programs for.
Last time it was the OS that could run the most Programs.
With more competition, Stability and Security will be the main factor this time around.
Now maybe for once we will get exactly what we payed for !!!
