No. For end users, 1.6 is the stable version they should be using.  The
long-lived branches are aimed at developers building their products on top
of Mozilla.

Actually it's not - 1.4.2 was released a few weeks ago, and binaries are
available. Mozilla.org didn't make a big announcement because it's not
a build that they're aiming at end-users.
