Drag and Drop in "Remote Application"

I'm using Mozilla 1.7.2 and want to use Drag and Drop in my remote 
Application. I don't want to use signed code.

user_pref("signed.applets.codebase_principal_support", true);
doesn't seem to work.
Maybe you know a better and working way.
