I couldn't resist taking screenshots of how this hack looks in Mozilla under Solaris. That's certainly distinctive !
Add Microsoft to the *guilty* list.
The reused the same glyph for cyrillic caracters as for latin one.
The *same* glyph. I cut&past them to word and enlarge to size 72 points to try to see a visual difference, and there is none.
The whole story would be significantly less annoying if they had not done that.
