I try to maintain that position, but there are so many sites that use Javascript these days that it's difficult to navigate many of them without it. Javascript is hardly _necessary_ for Web sites, but many sites are apparently being created by schoolkids with expensive Web authoring tools that insert a thousand lines of Javascript into even the simplest pages. I find that proper use of HTML and CSS makes it possible to avoid Javascript in almost every case. Anyway, turning off Javascript entirely is difficult. I have it turned off by default for sites on the Internet in MSIE, but I also have hundreds of sites on my "semi-trustworthy" list that allows Javascript. Unfortunately, Firefox doesn't allow me to select which sites can use Javascript, which reduces the security of the browser. As a result, I'm extremely hesitant about visiting unfamiliar sites with Firefox. -- Anthony _______________________________________________ Mozilla-security mailing list [email protected] http://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/mozilla-security
