I just tested this on Firefox 1.0.3 for both Windows XP and OS X against <https://www.hecker.org/> and it works fine: Tools -> Page Info -> Security tab -> View (certificate).
I don't have a Security tab, here on Linux Mandrake 10.0. I just have General, Forms, Links and Media.
I'll try a fresh install.
