Any help would be greatly appreciated.
When you delete a mail message from a folder with the mozilla or ThunderBird email clients, the message is not actually erased from the folder file, but is marked deleted so that it no longer appears in the list of messages. So, even though you've deleted it, the AV program will still find it. To get the deleted messages completely out of the folder, you need to "compact" the folder. Right click on the folder and select "Compact this folder" from the pop up menu. When that has finished, if you really deleted all the infected messages, your AV should no longer find the infections in the folders. Before compacting a folder, make sure you have plenty of unused disk space. You should have more free disk space than the size of the folder you want to compact. /Nelson _______________________________________________ Mozilla-security mailing list [email protected] http://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/mozilla-security
