Thanks for the pointer.
I think I read that bug a while ago, but I dont recall that this actually made
component stuff work across processes - I thought it was just to do with adding
pipe-based IPC so that Mozilla can talk bidirectionally and asynchronously with a
spawned child program (plus there was an XPCOM component so that Javascript could talk
to spawned programs too).
...but I will go and read it again now, my little gray memory cells aint what {they
used to be} | {never were}.
