I wondered if the supported toolset base was just too big. Wouldnt it have been 
possible to standardise
on a single (or maybe 2)  "good" compiler toolset on each platform, and relax 
restrictions which are
there because of others? If someone wants to build Mozilla, then they have to get the 
toolset. Whether
this costs or not depends on whether the GNU toolset is one of the "good" ones! :)
