I ran the regxpcom under /usr/local/mozilla as root: % ./regxpcom
then I got the error and there is no "core" dumped. I am sorry I don't know how to get the "stacktrace". Do you mean using gdb on the "core"? Anyway, I just tried following as root: $gdb ./regxpcom ... gdb> run then I got following output: Starting program: /usr/local/mozilla/regxpcom [New Thread 1074337376 (LWP 4299)] Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. [Switching to Thread 1074337376 (LWP 4299)] 0x00000000 in ?? () I can't understand what it means :-< I installed the mozilla 1.6 on linux folloing the install instruction for linux in the readme within the package. Beside unpackage the mozilla package and run installation program, anything else I have to do? thanks for your help. I really have no any idea about the error.
