I ran the regxpcom under /usr/local/mozilla as root:

% ./regxpcom

then I got the error and there is no "core" dumped.

I am sorry I don't know how to get the "stacktrace".  Do you mean using gdb
on the "core"?

Anyway, I just tried following as root:

$gdb ./regxpcom
...
gdb> run

then I got following output:
Starting program: /usr/local/mozilla/regxpcom
[New Thread 1074337376 (LWP 4299)]

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
[Switching to Thread 1074337376 (LWP 4299)]
0x00000000 in ?? ()

I can't understand what it means :-<


I installed the mozilla 1.6 on linux folloing the install instruction for
linux in the readme within the package. Beside unpackage the mozilla package
and run installation program, anything else I have to do? thanks for your
help. I really have no any idea about the error.
