Hi Darin

Please provide more info. What does it do under Firefox in the failure case? Are you building Firefox yourself?

Yes, I build Firefox myself (Win32).
When I compile the XPCOM sample component (under xpcom/sample), all I get is the xpcomsample.xpt which goes under dist/components, that's correct I think.
Then I get xpcomsmp.lib which is copied to the same directory.
Shouldn't there be a dll like xpcomsmp.dll?
When I try to load the xpconnect-sample.html, the JavaScrip Console says: "Error: Components.classes['@mozilla.org/sample;1'] has no properties".

Hmm... something is probably wrong with the build system or your set of configure flags is somehow not right. You should end up with xpcomsmp.dll in dist/bin/components.

Are you building Firefox from the trunk or from the aviary 1.0 branch?
