Has anyone had experience in using the XPCOM interface to the Flash Player?
I've used the plugin NPAPI to bootstrap the Flash Player plugin, and I've been able to get the XPCOM FlashIScriptablePlugin instance for the plugin. I've also successfully called XPCOM methods on the player, including LoadMovie, IsPlaying and Zoom. However, whenever I call methods that affect the the movie timeline (e.g. StopPlay, GotoFrame, etc), the method returns no error but has no effect. I'm using the Flash Player 7.0 r24 on Mac OS X 10.3.5. The NPAPI bootstrapping code I've put together is CFM-friendly If there's anyone who's used the XPCOM interface to the Flash Player, I'd like to hear about their experience! Thanks!
