The ActiveX control only really works for embedding mozilla in your
application. If you want to extract DOM information from an already running
separate Firefox window, you're only real option is to write an XPCOM
component that will do what you need it to do, and then send the relevant
information back to your application.

There is this <http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/control.htm>, which is 
an ActiveX control wrapper around Mozilla respectively the Gecko 
rendering engine. I am not sure there is anything which allows using the 
complete Firefox browser itself.
