Thank you for your e-mail, Benjamin.
This process works for any version of Firefox? Or is it only valid for
certain recent versions?
This should work for any version of Firefox 0.9 or greater.

According to documentation I just have to copy this .dll to the
'components' directory on firefox and run there the xpcomreg.exe
Which documentation says this? The "regxpcom" tool is not useful for
Firefox. You need to either
1) delete the compreg.dat file in your profile or
2) touch a file named ".autoreg" in your Firefox installation directory.
This will force Firefox to re-register all components the next time it
starts up.
