Hi, I have been experiencing problems with installing an XPCOM component on firefox. The component is entered into the mozilla registry (mozver.dat) but when I restart Firefox, the compreg.dat cache does not get updated.
>From what I understand from the firefox documentation, the application puts an .autoreg file in the application directory and that tells it to delete the compreg.dat and re-register all components in the components directory the next time it starts. The registration never happens however. I've been able to work around this problem by manually deleting compreg.dat in my installation script. My question is whether this is the correct way of forcing registration or am I missing another step in my installation script? Thanks, Matej -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
