I am using LAME V3.92 under SUSE 9.0 Pro.

I have a program that generates AIFF audio files. When I convert them
using LAME there is a non-zero byte at the beginning of each file converted.
This results in a "tick" sound on every MP3 player in the world and it is
not pleasant to listen to. I would like to eliminate this artifact and figure
there is a bug in LAME at this time for this conversion process.

If I take the AIFF files over to Windoze and run the files through Magix's
version of mp3 maker 2004 diamond addition this problem does not occur.
Of course, I don't want to generate multiple AIFF CDs to move over and convert
to MP3 in order to get one mp3 disc that has over 10 hours of audio.

Any help greatly appreciated.
