Hi, Sorry if this is flogging a dead horse, but I’d be very interested in implementing some method of retrieving or accessing server-based album art via MPD.
I’ve summarised the options over on the GitHub issue (https://github.com/MusicPlayerDaemon/MPD/issues/42#issuecomment-316278547) and would appreciate any feedback. I personally prefer the art sent over the wire/TCP command protocol, but understand not all the developers are keen on this.
