You need to load the firmware. The audio decoder is held in reset
until the firmware is loaded.
Forgot to say.. The bttv docs tells you what's needed, the bttv
driver
will load the firmware if it is present in the correct location
when it
detects the board.

and could tell me, which firmware I need to install for that card?
It's hidden within the bttv-cards.c source file...
"The hcwamc.rbf firmware file is on the Hauppauge driver CD. Have
a look at Pvr/pvr45xxx.EXE (self-extracting zip archive, can be
unpacked with unzip)."
Put it in /usr/lib/video4linux/hcwamc.rbf.
