David Harvey has correctly pointed out that the references section of
mpir.texi is not currently being maintained.

As this is an important part of people getting credit for their work
in mpir, it is vital that we get this up-to-date as soon as possible.

Can we brainstorm some papers which we have used, either directly or
indirectly in mpir. Here's ones I can think of:

David Harvey's paper on middle products

Bernstein's paper on root testing

Bodrato and Zanoni's papers on Toom multiplication

Zimmermann, Kruppa, Gaudry on FFT

???
