Dear all,

It's not completely clear to me when which assembler is used at MPIR build 
time, i.e. when is it the shipped YASM, and when is it the system default 
assembler?
Could someone provide me some hints?
I'm asking cause I had to update the Sage's spkg hack we use and  which 
consists in deleting some asm files containing @GOT used in PIC code in 
order to build MPIR on Mac OS 10.4/5  where the Apple's AS doesn't 
understand this macro (or whatever this is).
