IT is typical for libraries to experience an upswing in patronage after a
remodel or rebuild.  However, after the first year, that upswing disappears and
number of visitors goes down.  That didn't happen at Hosmer, but we added
$450,000 in books and programming to keep that from happening.  However, Central
library stats have been plummeting this last year to 18 months.
