I'd like to second RT's post and plead with all the partisans noisily clattering off each other like rams in heat: please suspend fighting the last war and concentrate on the current election. If your party is superior, tell us why based on your candidates and their positions. We have spent more time arguing about Ralph and Al than discussing actual candidacies in places like the 6th, where there are many interesting candidates, or in other contested wards like 10 and 11. I was actually pretty impressed with my fellow DFLers in the 9th last weekend, who seemed to overlook who each candidate voted for in the last presidential election. If you want to know why more Americans consider themselves political independents, it's because there are more important issues in their lives than the last election. Please, let's discuss in the context of what these people will do for Minneapolis, not what they did in the privacy of the voting booth last fall.
