As a general rule I would not have supported a motion to adjorn without an endorsement.

However in light of the situation in Mpls where candidates are unable to involve more people in the endorsement process by turning out people who want to participate as
delegates in the city endorsement cycle  I could  see where this might be a reasonable
decision at some ward conventions. Whetther or not  the circumstances existed at the
10th Ward Convention for  supporting  adourning without an endorsement I will defer to
the collective wisdom of the DFL delegates in attendance.

If the needed reform of electing delegates in the same year as city elections is approved
I would see less of a chance of these circumstances arising at future conventions.
I sure DFL'ers in the 10th Ward  could think of more construtive ways to use their time this summer than  competing against each other, but if  the  endorsement process  does not provided a  level playing field to compete, candidates are  not likely to abide by it.  Especially if  no other political party poses a serious challenge  to the DFL in the ward.
