It should be pointed out that the Humboldt Greenway
replaced approxiamately 200 homes that were in good
condition, with people living in them and contributing
property taxes to the cities tax base. The Humbolt
Greenway did not and does not replace slums,
deteriorated or vacant housing nor abandoned
industrial areas. Humbolt Greenway is a "Celebration"
of the costly "Urban Gentrification" that is driven by
the Building Trades and Developers, it has absolutely
nothing to do with solving our housing problem. You
don't solve it by demolishing existing low cost
liviable homes for the purpose of some grandiose plan.
