Hooray for the Minnehaha Watershed District for taking action to protect
the Coldwater Spring! For those whom haven't visited the spring, it has
an unexpectedly robust flow, and its ceaseless activity over the eons
has sculpted a wonderful cascade through the bedrock which lines the
Mississippi River gorge.
It would be an unconscionable act to diminish, or cease the flow from
the spring to the cascade and into the Mississippi. The spring is a
priceless and historic natural resource - far too important to fall
victim to the nearby highway interchange.
