It is simply incorrect and unfair to imply that these officials have not
supported the protection of Cold Water Springs throughout the process of
completing the Highway 55 project. As someone who has been intimately
involved with this project, as a member of a regulatory board for the past 8
years and as an adjacent resident, I can tell you that their support for
protection of the spring has been unwavering. At this time, they are simply
asking MNDoT to live up to the promise that it made, and that they repeated,
that there would be no long term negative impact on the spring from the
highway project.
