Don't know what meetings you were at, but I do know that when they started the Joe Selvaggio Initiative in Phillips, Robert Lilligren was one of the lead contacts for Mike Christenson. Mike had often stated to me how invaluable Robert's comments and input were. Maybe you participated in the original development of the Initiative, and Robert in the implementation? All I know, is that they held a number of meetings with the residents to develop the criteria of the Joe Selvaggio Initiative and Robert was present for many of those discussions. I say this as a long-term resident of Phillips who has been involved with the Phillips Partnership in a variety of ways over the years, through Mike Christenson. Anyway, I would expect that Robert would not only have knowledge of, but be involved in both, since he lives right in the impacted area. One of my friends who lives in the middle section of the Eighth Ward called me to ask how Robert Lilligren had helped produce Portland Place and the Joe Selvaggio inititive in the North end of the Ward. She said Lilligren had called to solicit her vote and told her how he'd helped out with that. NOT TRUE! I was at the meetings with Michael Bonsignore (Honeywell), Gordon Springer and Gene Torey (Abbott Northwestern Hospital), the President of St. Mary's College, Rod Wooten of Lake Street Partners, Project for Pride in Living, Brian Herron, Eighth Ward Councilman, and some architects. Robert Lilligren had nothing to do with producing those two wonderful projects. Nothing. Zip, zero, nada.
