Those of you who are passionate about reducing fossil
fuel dependency and the voracious appetite for fuel
and land (to say nothing of fatal accidents), check
out http://www.taxi2000.com/ which is a sustainable
rapid transit system that has the potential for moving
beyond use of fossil fuels. It seems to me the best
alternative for folks who cannot bike or walk. One
three-foot rail can accommodate three freeway lanes of
traffic. (Think of it! Highway 35W reduced to a rail
three feet wide...and since it is elevated, gardens
could be growing where the asphalt was---)

I would most welcome & appreciate a factual
conversation with someone who OPPOSES the Taxi2000
system, and who would like to get down to specifics.
I cannot find such a person...yet the Met Council &
Transportation Depts. do not support it.

PS: Sorry about the first mailing of this
message…somehow I hit the "send" button before I had
written my name and neighborhood, and I did not check
the spelling.
