Above is a link to a star and trib story I read today about what constitues affordable in a house.  I am stunned in my disbelief.  The one that got me was not that a $170,000 home is considered affordable housing but the inability of this to relate to the people I know at all.  Most of us are not a family of four living on $61,000 per year...lots of us are songle parents living on lots less than that.  Again I have to wonder if the Met council considers that price range to be the affordable housing, where do they intend for people making less than $50,000 to live?
