Hi All! Our esteemed listmeister has tried to stick a fork in this thread, admirably.
In keeping with the need to keep this Mpls-based, let me make this attempt to plunge a few tines in it. As my dear old dad told me, when I freaked during my first traverse of the creaky, shaky Lake Street Bridge when I was about 9-years of age and had encountered a couple of missing planks which provided a clear view to The River, flowing some, what -- miles? below, "Son, life is dangerous." OK, I stole it from Soucheray, but you get the gist, don't you? I never fell thru those missing rotten wood planks, and I never got bounced off my bike by a passing bus. But the odds of either were one freak'n hell of alot higher than what threatens me by sending nuke rods to Nevada. You can all come up with your own risk scenarios. For example, if I were a nine-year-old white boy from Saint Paul today, I would probably be safe crossing the new Lake Street Bridge. But would I be safer continuing to the West? Hypothetical, of course. Let's not obsess on nuke waste. There are plenty of more serious risks. Cheers! PK Paul Kuettel 2.5 miles from possible nuke waste railbed, but am more nervous about crossing Snelling on Green with the Walk sign. _______________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A Civil City Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest option, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
