I beg to differ. It's part of the job. Why should the other 12 members bust
their humps attending endless committee meetings while she throws tantrums
and threatens to 'go to the cabin'? They're all paid the same aren't they?
She claims to want to 'focus her attention more fully on constituent
services and development'. In Kenwood?!
No, I'm sorry, you don't understand. Each Council Member is assigned to regular committees. Each CM has approximately three standing committees of which they are a member. Over and above that, there are a number of assignments made to various committees on a random basis. Many Council Members only have the standing committee assignments. All Council Members are paid the same, you are correct in that. I disagree that other CMs are "busting their humps" while she does nothing except her constituent service. There has always been a disproportionate number of CMs on various committees. They don't chair these committees, but they are members.
I guess you have a problem with CM Goodman that you should take up with her personally, but when I saw the number of extra committees of which she was a members, I was amazed. That's way and above over what other CMs are doing.
